 The Largest Cow is perched higher steep hill rising above the city of New Salem. Salem Sue can be seen for 5 miles. Built in 1974, this tremendous cow stands as a memorial to the area's dairy farmers, their huge herds, and the production of high quality milk.

 Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center invites visitors to explore wildlife of North America. The exhibits showcase the natural forces that formed the 200-mile-long ridge and native wildlife, ranging from small insects to large animals. In addition to self-guided exhibits and trails, Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center offers many activities and nature education programs.

 The Vermont Historical Society is the only institution in Vermont that is collecting different artifacts, books and documents, reflecting the entire history of the state, every geographical area and every chronological period.

 The only full-size replica of the Greek Parthenon in the world, Nashville's Parthenon was constructed to commemorate Tennessee's 1897 centennial. Inside stands the 42-foot-tall statue of Athena Parthenos, the goddess of wisdom. In the basement galleries there is an excellent collection of 19th- and 20th-century American art.
