Sheraton University City Hotel

I've stayed at this hotel twice in the past year and had difficulty with the heating/air conditioning unit in my room. Last summer the a/c ran till the room felt like icewater, then shut off till it felt like an oven. This winter the heat did the same thing (only in reverse). It's a good location and the rooms are very nice, but they need to get this problem fixed.

The hotel's location is great -- it's right next to the University of Pennsylvania, within easy walking distance of Drexel U., 30th Street Station, restaurants, &c. The room was nice. But the heating/AC unit was flaky, which was a problem because I was there for a bitter night in January. The unit would come on, heat the room, shut off, then come on again -- but this time with its fan blow... [more]ing chilly air into the room till the temperature reached about 40. I had to turn it off. I've stayed there before, last summer, and had the same kind of problems with the air conditioning. [less]

I enjoyed a stay at this hotel during the Rolling out the Red Carpet recruiting event for the School District of Philadelphia. We were treated to a two night 3-day stay in the hotel while we were shown the benefits of living and working in the city of Philadelphia as teachers.
The hotel provided so many wonderful ammenities and wonderful rooms. The hotel was also very clean, and comfortable... [more] temperature wise.
The location is in West Philadelphia and is close to a lot of the sites that we were going to. It's close to downtown and very close to other attractions that the city has to offer.
I would very much wish to come back to this hotel and enjoy their hospitality as well. [less]
