My wife and I just returned from staying two weeks at the Ohana East Hotel. We found the whole experience to be excellent. The room was clean, well cared for, had a balcony, coffeemaker, fridge, cable TV, pool area. There are fast food restaurants very handy and a food mart acrossed the street.

The area seems to be safe, close to buses, the beach, International Market place, in... [more] fact all the things you would want to take in at Waikiki. The excursion desk was very helpful and we booked several tours during our stay. This property is within easy walking distance of all the Waikiki happenings. In short, if we were to go back to Waikiki tomorrow, we would book there again. I felt it was good value for our money! [less]

	not on the beach

I was happy with the idea of this being a four-star hotel rating and upon arrival we were told that it wasn't after that adjustment, we enjoyed the service and stayed. The location was convenient for pick-up for the buses tours, shops, restaurants beach etc. Great time.

	Poor attitudes at desk

Overall this was okay, nothing to brag about. The location is good, just FYI it is on a main street so after 11pm the call girls hang around the hotel. They leave you alone, but they tend to all hang out near the main entrance after 11pm so if you have kids and you don't want them to see close to nude woman in high heels put them to bed before 11pm or stay else where. The attitudes at the fron... [more]t desk were cold, almost annoyed that they had to help customers. But the rooms were clean, decent size with balconies, small bath!!!! I stayed at the Ohana West two weeks later, wow! what a better place (read my review for the West on that hotel site! AL [less]
