For those looking for a vacation in Chatham will be very disapointed with a stay at the Wequassett . Although its facilities and grounds are undoubtedly very nice, they have the real problem of not actually being located in the town of Chatham! Apparently they consider having a separate business address as sufficient to make up for their own perceived geographical shortfall. In what can only be i... [more]nterpreted as a case of "town envy", they deceptively continue to misinform guests of their true location. We on the Cape recognize that some communities are considered more prestigeous or glamorous than others, and fully realize how these perceptions are vital in improving a resorts image, but why re-write facts! The Wequassett Inn is in Harwich, a very nice town located just north of Chatham and south of Orleans. They owe to their paying customers to be accurate and to stop this continuing and obviously intentional attempt to mask their true location. [less]

The lovely cottages on the property have a huge problem- the walls are paper thin and the young families that populated this resort while we were there are very noisy because young children make a lot of noise. I didn't get much sleep in my $700 a night waterside cottage because of this.

I liked the boat that took you to the beach. The beach had no one at it. And the Restaurant was great!!! And they have a great tennis pro by the name of Dave.
