Overall Rating: 10 Location [8] • Room [10] • Service [8] • Value [10] The Melrose Hotel is a beauifully styled hotel. If you're looking for something elegant and classic instead of modern and hip, this is the place. The rooms are huge (it is Texas) and the bathrooms are gorgeous. The bar is also a great place to hang out (I've spotted celebrities there twice). Overall, a beautiful place to stay. Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] My partner and I were arriving at different times because of our schedules. I wanted the experience to be memorable even if we were coming from only Fort Worth. The Melrose was a wonderful choice, only seconds from downtown and not far from most of the major highways.
I had asked that room service have waiting in the room for my partner, champagne and strawberries. They went ov... [more]er the top drizzling the strawberries with chocolate and the fresh flowers, while the silver and stemware were just the touch of class to remind us we were in the finest Big “D” had to offer.
The service was exceptional. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of area attractions. We were within walking distance of many of the attractions we wanted to visit.
The room and accommodations were very welcoming, and peaceful. The in-house restaurant was equally impressive. Our weekend experience made our anniversary very memorable. Thank you Melrose! [less]
