Overall Rating: 6 Location [6] • Room [6] • Service [6] • Value [6] I liked the price we paid compared to what other hotels in the area charged. It was convenient to a couple of places I wanted to go, but a lot of walking or having to park to go to other places. But overall, a good location for downtown activities. It included vallet parking. There was coffee in the room. The view from outside the room was really nice and impressive. You can see much of the offici... [more]al buildings from there.
The appearance was so so and it was clean, but it isn't kept up as well as it could be. The response to one minor problem was rather slow. The temperature of the room was either too warm or very cold. We couldn't get it adjusted to our liking. This was the worst part because it was hard to sleep with the a/c blowing on us. There was no separate light for the bathroom - the one over the sink and the bathroom were the same. It was hard to find the lightswitch. The a/c was too close to the bed. There are no Kingsized beds, fridges or microwaves. Nothing in the Continental Breakfast for diabetics. I realize that most places don't offer much for diabetics, but some have at least hard cooked eggs. There's no swimming pool. I don't think there would be anywhere to put one anyway.
This is not the motel's fault, if you're in good physical shape and you can climb hills and walk easily, you'll be o.k. But, if not, you have to take your car and be prepared to pay for parking wherever you go because of the hills from the hotel to the convention center and a lot of the restaurants. It is o.k. walking down the hill, but no fun climbing up them.
It would have really been nice if Nashville had a downtown shuttle available. I think they really ought to start one. A lot of cities have free shuttle service in their downtowns to encourage the growth of business. It would have made it so much easier for those of us older people to get around and do what we wanted and spend money in Nashville's business places. Also, I hope they finish all the downtown construction soon.
I'd probably go there again because it's close to where I want to go, but I'd try to sleep WAY across the room so I wouldn't freeze or I'd request a different room, if possible. If there was another place for the same price with more ammenities that was kept up a bit better, nearby, I'd go there instead. [less]

Overall Rating: 10 Location [8] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] What a find! Our expectations were so over-met. Service / staff was excellent. Being new to Nashville, we spoke w/ multiple staff members during our stay, & all of them were as friendly & knowledgable as we could have hoped. Room was very clean. Quiet. I'm booking this hotel right now for our next visit. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By • Horrible
Overall Rating: 2 Location [8] • Room [2] • Service [2] • Value [2] We stayed here and much to our chagrin, there were loud guests who partied from 2 AM - 4 AM and the hotel staff did nothing about it. This happened two nights in a row. It was unbelievable. We found the bathroom disgusting, no buffer from traffic noise from the street, and no response to our complaint letter to the manager of the hotel afterward. Avoid this place at all cost!
