These areas need's a "MAKEOVER" !!! Lobby & bandquet rooms has a rundown appearance. The public restrooms needs to be cleaned more often.

We stayed at this hotel in the Hyde Park area of Chicago (just South of Downtown) in Aug of 2004. Our room was average. We had a view of Lake Michigan which was the best part of our stay. My father in laws room had a leaky air conditioner. The carpet was all wet. The front desk staff was apologetic and immediately gave him a new room. His view was of a courtyard above the parking g... The pool was nice and not crowded at all. The restaurant there was a little pricey, but never crowded. Food was good. We had the same waiter the 2-3 times we ate there. He was very nice.

The elevator was a little scary. Hopefully it's had some work done by now. The hotel had an enclosed, small parking garage at no extra cost.

Biggest down side, is there are no good restaurants in this area unless you go all the way down town. [less]

The rooms were nice, clean, big. The bed was comfortable. Location is great, close to everything, but was quiet so that you could relax. Would definitely stay again.
