When visiting Salem during our honeymoon, we found that the myth of Salem as a quaint historical city was completely false. We spent hours in traffic and getting lost in the maze of one way streets. When we finally happened upon our room at the Salem Inn we were greatly disappointed to see the Honeymoon Suite was nothing more than a small, sparcely decorated room in a 3-story tenant-like building.... [more] The only highlight of the thankfully short stay in Salem was Victoria Station at the Wharf. The food and service was good enough to ease some of the vacation regret. [less]

I have stayed at the Inn three seperate times and each room was very different...all were clean and invited comfort; I sleep so good here! I enjoy having breakfast on the lower level or if a nice morning, in the courtyard. I found the frontdesk very helpful and I hope to have a stay during Halloween one year.
