DAYS INN MEMPHIS AT GRACELAND

We went the first time ever to Memphis to see Graceland. The only thing that was right about the other reviews is that it is close to Graceland.
The rooms were dank, musty, dirty, and the doors to the hotel rooms had been kicked in many times by other guests. The beds were on homemade platforms. Towels are from the dollar store down the street. Realizing that this is an economy hotel ... [more]I feel ripped off that it was not at least clean. I expected more from a hotel being so close to Graceland! [less]

We stayed at Days Inn Graceland for the fourth time on Tuesday June 7. As usual the staff was friendly, the rooms were nice and clean, the swimming pool was great! And it's within walking distance to Graceland. The motel is not super fancy but it is nice and the rooms have been redone. We have been going there for the past 18 years. It has changed owners though this time. We were there 2 years ago and we were very much surprised at this visit in March 2006.
The rooms had been been redone. It was very clean and freshly painted, the pool area was great looking and very comfortable. We didn't get to swim, but it looked very nice.
The only draw back was that th... [more]e maid was a little tired when she got to our room and forgot a lot of things, but the staff at the front desk were happy to correct anything.

We really enjoyed the good nights sleep, and the room was very comfortable, they have added a microwave oven and refrigerator combo to the rooms, if you want a full pot of coffee, you will need to take your own coffee pot. Really can't wait to go back.
Enjoy the short walk to Graceland, you don't have to pay for the parking. [less]
