I was a bit leary about staying here after reading the reviews. But since the two seminars I was attending were in this hotel, it was easier to stay here than travel. I am SO GLAD I DID!

The hotel is not a Ramada anymore. It was bought this past February, and the new owner & his son (who was very personable) are working on upgrading all of it. The staff was very couteous & help... [more]ful. The room was large, bright & clean.

I had a little concern shortly after I checked in. I found out the floor on which I was staying was filled with middle school children. I thought I would get no sleep all night. I was relieved to find there was night security on every floor, so I did not have a problem with children running the halls all night long. I slept like a baby.

The restaurant was closed for renovations, but Saturday & Sunday breakfast were served.
Since the Hotel is located in the center of town it was only a short walk to get a bite to eat for lunch & dinner. Staff was very helpful with suggestions as to where to go. It was within walking distance of everything I could need, and only a short drive to the outlet area & Amish country.

After reading one of the reviews, I was very leary about this hotel. We took our daughter to MU and decided to stay close by and enjoy Lancaster. This hotel was less than 5 miles from school. Glad we stayed! Huge room with a king bed, ultra clean bathroom, quiet, wonderful indoor pool. Only problem we had was actually with the restaurant we went to. We booked the Brewery package and when we went t... [more]o the Brewery, we were told no tours and the hotel knew this. Dinner was good though. I told the front desk about this, they said it was the first time they heard of it, the girl was very apologetic and gave us a discount on our hotel bill! She even told us about a discount the hotel gives for MU parents. The breakfast in the morning was VERY delicious and the staff was efficient. This had to be the worst stay I ever had here. The room had no a/c due to the fact they already turned there heat on. We had to sleep with the front door open all night and also the window open. So much for your own room since we shared it with everyone that was in the halway!!
