We went for my cousin's wedding and the gave us a supposed "deal" of $100.00 a night on the room. It was HORRIBLE! It was musty and smelled like mold. There are no elevators and we had tons of bags, not only did the room smell, but the air conditioner in the room was dripping. The upkeep and maitenence is awful. We've stayed at the Host at least twice a year for the last 15 years in conjunction with a biannual convention. The service is excellent even when the crowds are huge. The facility is in the final stages of a major overhaul but even in the throws of construction, our stay was always pleasant. The front desk staff in particular are always cheerful and aim to please. nice hotel. when we stayed there was NRA conference, women in fellowship conference, and a wedding so it was pretty full. GREAT restaurant...if you can get the free breakfast buffet get it. the breakfast was buffet or you could order something from the menu. so much food! and so delicious! didn't use the pool or whirpool so don't know about those. we got a smoking room so that wasn...
