We had the room reserved for four nights and we only stayed one. When I went to get my money back they said no problem. All I had to do was to let you know that I stayed only one night and you could contact them and then credit my card for the other three nights. Please do that. The location was less than desirable and the clerk needed to be trained. We were told that they had a pool: but they di... [more]dn't tell us that it was not in service until May 1st. This is the most unprofessional hotel in the entire United States. They know to take the reservation, they just do not know how to honor a reservation. In the words of Jerry Seinfeld, "that really is the important part of the reservation." I reserved a room two months ago for a stop along my trip to my honeymoon destination. Much to my surprise, the staff at this wrecked, filthy hotel... [more] decided to alter my honeymoon plans. Luckily we were flexible and on our way to our honeymoon destination. If we were staying in Shreveport the whole honeymoon would have been ruined. We only planned to spend one night in Shreveport and move on to Panama City Beach. We decided to spend the night at the Microtel in Bossier City. Stay away from the Howard Johnson Express. Never stay at the nasty place. Also, whoever wrecked the swimming pool area should get their car out and put the fence back up. [less]

The 1st room they put us in have drug paraphernaliaon the beh and the bed had been laid on. the was no soap and the rooms were dirty. I called the office whom just told me to settle down and they woudl move me to another room. The 2nd room had no wash rag, the coffee pot,toilet & tub were all stiil dirty. I had to clean before we could move in this room. I was really uncomfortable aand had to clea... [more]n my own room. I was never so glad to leave a hotel. This is not a new hotel as advertised.
