Service was excellent. The room assigned hadn't been used for a while. I requested a move and was happy from that day forward. I stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. Wireless Internet in the room. Service staff very helpful in locating sites, shopping and restaurants. I felt safe and comfortable. Not much better than that.

The Howard Johnson Inn and Suites is conveniently located near the Abraham Lincoln Capitol Airport, and is the hotel closest to the Illinois State Fairgrounds. The Oak Ridge Cemetery, home of Lincoln's Tomb and the Vietnam and Korean War Memorials, is also nearby. Historic sites such as Lincoln's Home, the Old State Capitol, Frank Lloyd Wright's Dana Thomas House, Children's Museum, Adventure Village Amusement Park, and downtown Springfield are minutes away.
