I was very disappointed with my stay here. The mattress and pillows were old, the room was small, the bathroom tiny. The place is not soundproofed so it is noisy and hard to sleep. The internet connection did not work and the toilet would not always shut off.

We had reserved online a kingroom with a pull out couch. When we get there, after a 5 hour drive with 2 children, we are told all they have is two double beds and that they do not guarantee types of rooms, they only guarantee rooms. So basically we were to pay extra for a basic room with 2 adults and two children and not enough space for any of us to squeeze in. They were very rude and eventual... [more]ly put us in a room that was the same size but had a king sized bed and a fireplace that smelled of gas. We did not want to stay in this room because of the safety issue with the children so they moved us BACK to the original 2 double bed room and we fought on the phone for several minutes with several different people until finally we were discounted for our room a whole 20 dollars a night. I was so disappointed with this experience that I will NEVER stay there again. We were visiting family who we dont see often and it made the whole vacation not worth the trip - we will never stay at this hotel again, and we will definitely discourage any of our family or friends from staying there. We never got an apology or anything. And I had also confirmed the room THAT DAY with the desk clerk. She assured me that we would have the king room with the pull out bed for the kids. We cannot stress enough that this place is definitely not worth the money. The pool tasted like salt water and was very sticky and cloudy. The decor was out of date. And the breakfast that was included was so-so. Nothing about this experience was anything more than a disgrace. Booked a night for my daughter and me to have "girl time" First, the spa did not book the correct massage I asked for and then was not ever allowed to cancel it because of the 24 hr cancellation policy. 10 minutes after my daughter got in the pool she was told the pool was closing for an hour for "splash class" and she had to get out. So that ruined the time we planned to ha... [more]ve two friends come and swim with her due to their prior committments later that night. Come to find out the class was for all ages (she is 11) and you dont need to schedule a slot ahead time, you can just show up. But they never told us that, she might have liked to participate. The spa employees are young kids who are immature and unprofessional at the least. They are so preoccupied with themselves and talking they could care less about the customers. They basically called me a liar regarding the messed up massage appointment. I have stayed at the hotel before, I always book out of town business guests at the Senator and we always eat there. I will reconsider that even though I like the hotel they didn't seem too concerned about my complaints other than taking a mere $50.00 off the room rate. The massage was $59.00.
