We are from Rockford and thought it would be fun to go somewhere close for the weekend. The clocktower I thought would be immaculate and when I called I was told they have a new indoor water park comparible to Wisconsin Dells. My husband and my three kids were very excited to go. The Water park was geared for real young kids my five year old enjoyed my other children 11 and 9 hated it. The hot... [more] tub was not a hot tub, but a tub with warm water and no jets. Our room was like a dungeon and the bathroom had a 70's style to it and dirty. If you were in the bathroom you could hear the people in the next room through the vent like they were in your room. The management was awful not helpful at all. We complained and was told will will get you a better room on your next visit. When we checked out we were billed extra my husband complained and they woman he spoke with was very rude. We will never stay there again. Not worth going to! [less]

My husband recently stayed at the Mariott Clock Tower Hotel for a business trip he was on. In a hurry one morning he left his wallet on the T.V. and when he returned after his meetings, his money was gone. The hotel said he could not prove that anyone working there did it and did nothing about it. If you ask me what kind of a hotel are you staying at if you can't trust your stuff in your ro... I am from Rockton and recently had to stay at the Clock Tower for a return visit home. Having worked/lived in the Chicago area for some time now, I immediately get "lowered" when I have to return home. For $129.00 we received a very poor quality room, with a bathroom dated from the 70's. I also had to use their computer, located in the lobby, for internet access (which was a nice ... [more]perk), but the language and lack of professionalism that was displayed at the front desk was astounding. It appears that you have young kids, that have not been trained adequately, trying to run the place without an understanding of tactfulness. Isn't it about time that Rockford gets a 4 star hotel on the east side? What an embarassment. [less]
