L'Auberge de SedonaUser reviews for L'Auberge de Sedona
By Lysa Schaffner from Oak Park,CA • This is the Place to Go!
Overall Rating: 10 I'm from Southern California and look forward to our pampered stay at L'Auberge. The people are accomodating, the grounds are calming and quiet and the service is excellent. Their restaraunt is our favorite and a must if you consider going to Sedona. Overall Rating: 4 Location [6] • Room [6] • Service [4] • Value [2] Booked a romantic getaway in their Garden View rooms and ended up in the middle of the parking lot attached to the housekeeping unit. For the price we paid I would never recommend staying here. Much better values elsewhere and for the money we expected far better accomodations. Overall Rating: 10 Our room at L'Auberge was absolutely beautiful-- not a "cookie-cutter" or "standard" room, but a beautifully appointed sanctuary in one of the most beautiful settings you could imagine.
Everything we asked for, the attentive, but unintrusive staff provided--and then someone called to make sure we got it!
We ate at both the Terrace and the L'Auberge restaurants. The food and service were fabulous. My personal favorite was the Terrace-- nestled in the trees adjacent to Oak Creek--sooooo relaxing! Definately worth the money.
I would recommend either to everyone who wants an amazing experience in dining.
This is a little bit of heaven for those who are exhuasted from frantic pace of everyday life. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By Trip Tutorial User from LA • SMALL HEVEN

Overall Rating: 6 Location [8] • Room [4] • Service [6] • Value [4] We stayed in what was promoted as a luxury two bedroom cottage at L'Auberge de Sedona. Our expectation was we were splurging to ensure well above average accomodations. The exterior property in general is charming but the charm ended at the door of our accomodations. We had a large unit, a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage which turned out to be located between two parking lots. This was a very pricy unit which was dowdy, worn and dated as well as not particularly clean (dust clearly visible on most surfaces, unpleasant smell). The decor, possibly once elegant, was dark and dreary and the slip covers on the sofas were stained. The master bathroom was roomy but the fixtures were in poor repair, including a broken handle which my daughter cut her hand on. The AC did not work when we arrived resulting in indoor temperatures in excess of 95 degrees. It was repaired the same day but for the price one would expect a working unit on arrival. Houskeeping left fewer and fewer towels each day and did not clean adequately- no vacuuming or dusting.
The space in the cottage was nice to have, as was the fireplace and the roomy porch, if you overlook the parking lot view. The location near uptown Sedona was good as well. We had a good meal in the restaurant although they were out of several items on the menu and informed us that we could not have the tasting menu with the paired wines since they were busy with another party and could not service us (!). No Spa, no fitness, small inconveniently located pool. This was not a four star experience by any means and cost more than most five star properties we have stayed at. Not a good value at all.

Overall Rating: 10 Location [8] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] fabulosu hotel and the price may be a little high but for the beauty that Sedona has to offer its well worth it. The food was terrific. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | |
