Overall Rating: 10  Location [10] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] The rooms were oversized and comfortable and the food at Kelly's Table was wonderful. The inn is located in the woods and there are trails to walk. We also enjoyed lounging in the conservatory in front of the fire. Just the kind of secluded spot we were hoping to find.

Overall Rating: 2  Sometimes old means rustic, or romantic, or elegant, but sometimes old just means old! This place is worn, old and dirty! Some bleach in the shower might get rid of that mold!

The charming and unique Creekwood Inn in Michigan City, Ind., is located on 33 acres of woods and creeks, just one hour from Chicago. Reminiscent of an English country manor with a relaxed atmosphere and modern amenities, Creekwood Inn has been serving leisure and business travelers for 12 years. Guests are encouraged to explore the southeastern shore of Lake Michigan, where boating and fishing are popular forms of recreation. Nature lovers will be right at home in the great outdoors, as the grounds of Creekwood Inn are laced with trails for hiking or cross country skiing. If more rigorous activities aren't appealing, guests can enjoy a massage, or some fresh air outside on the hot tub deck. Each of the 13 air conditioned guestrooms has a distinctively pleasing and comfortable décor. Some are warmed by fireplaces, while others have French doors that open onto private terraces. Amenities include Internet access, refrigerators with bottled water, work desks, bathrobes, televisions, and complimentary continental breakfasts featuring homemade breads, fruits and cereals. For lunch and dinner, Chef Patricia Kelly creates a fine dining environment, with menu items such as Rack of Lamb with Curry Glaze, Grilled Cumin Crusted Tuna with Mango Habanero, and Ragout of Duck with Andouille Sauce. From the English architecture to the dreamy four poster king beds, the Creekwood Inn is an experience that is not easily forgotten.
