Red Lion Colonial Hotel

We stayed at this hotel the first week of September, 2004. Very friendly check in staff. The room was probably the largest room for a "standard" room that I have ever stayed in. It was nicely appointed, and I would say that the bed compares to Westin's "Heavenly" bed. It has a coffer maker, and refrigerator in the room also. Although this hotel looks a little different f... [more]rom the outside, the inside is beautiful, with a grand staircase in the lobby, reminescent of a southern plantation. We did not visit the pool or restaurant on the premises, but there is a food delivery service, and several nearby restaurants. We travel frequently and this was our first time staying at a Red Lion hotel, but we will look for them from now on. [less]

Just as the title says, this is in Montana. Room and hotel are very nice, as the previous review said. For me, the front desk people were not very friendly. Free internet, pool, fitness center (not very good), laundry, etc.

The Red Lion Colonial Hotel in Helena, MT, was very nice. The property was very clean and well-kept including the lobby, hallways, restaurant and guest room. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a hotel.

I would definitely suggest this hotel to someone visiting Helena! Great job!
