We decided on the Travelodge because they were close to the zoo (within 5 miles), had a 3:00 PM check-in time (most were 4 PM), had a good review from a parent and wasn't too pricey.

We stayed in the Sleepy Bear Den with a 2 year old and an 8 year old. The room was nice and big with 2 queen size beds, a TV with a VCR (they even had Disney tapes in the drawer!! at no extra cost!!... [more]), a coffee maker, iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, a small table and chairs and a cute little chair just right for my 2 year old. The room was clean and comfortable.

From the reveiws we read about this place, we were expecting a little more for the continental breakfast (cereal, bagels, muffins, packets of oatmeal), but we just walked across the parking lot to Perkins instead.

The kids loved the room and the pool. I thought the pool was okay - WAY TOO MUCH chlorine, but the kids didn't notice that, they were having too much fun!!

Overall, we were pleased with our stay. Good price, clean, very kid friendly room, good location and nice staff. We would definitely go back!! [less]
