Overall Rating: 10 Location [8] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] The hotel desk is unobtrusive. There is a 24-hour security officer for admittance to the room elevator and nightclub access. The desk clerk let us leave a credit card slip at the counter and go upstairs to inspect the luxiouriously modern room. The bed had Eygptian cotton & down-filled linens. The furniture was covered in real leather. There were quality, name brand toiletries in the bath. We previewe... [more]d the selection of beverages,as well as candy and snacks in the mini bar.We called downstairs and booked the room.We liked it so much;we stayed in there for about two more hours. The restaraunts were busy and had lines, we had to wait five minutes. It was Luau night at the buffet.Patrons were encouraged to get up and dance the hula. There was a live band playing. We enjoyed the wide variety of Asian and Polenesian food. Afterwads, I got a player's club card. They have a great comp system and I earned a free two night visit on my first stay!I was dissapointed that the spa was booked up.(Get reservations a couple weeks in advance if you can.) Also upstairs the show was sold out-No Doubt was playing and the crowd downstairs was young, hip and lively. The casino floor is open and airy, but is a little maze like.I like the central bar that opens to the blackjack area. The Palms is in a low key part of town away from the throngs on the Strip, but close to more street action and browsing. We also visited the other hotels in that area and found we liked the Palms best. There are many things to do at the hotel, all adjacent to the casino floor.I recomend touring the casino floor first,as you walk in a circular path and pick a place to meet later.I enjoyed my stay there! Overall Rating: 8 Let's face it; you're not going there for the location. The Palms Casino Resort is the hotel where they filmed the Real World a few years ago. The hotel is adequate; nothing special. However you're within walking distance to Rain and the Ghost bar. In addition to the great night life, they also have a wonderful steakhouse called “Nine Steakhouse”. “Little Budda” (an Asian restaura...
