The marshall house is truely a place to go to relax and be treated like a king or queen! The service was excellant and the rooms so wonderfully decorated and cozy. It is downtown and in walking distance to shopping, dininig, and the river front as well as sight seeing. I want to go back and stay in one of the suites, or a room on the second floor facing the front with a porch area. I would highly recommend a stay there!

The Marshall House does a fantastic job of making each guest feel welcomed and ensuring that their trip is personalized. There was a pleasant welcoming gift in our room, congratulating our wedding/honeymoon and emphasizing that if there was anything needed, they (The Marshall House staff) would take care of it.

They are quick to make reservations and offer suggestions towards dinner and entertainment activities.

The overall decor of the hotel takes the guest into a cozy atmosphere of "home" and with the premises being in walking distance of the "hot spots" of Savannah, the Marshall House is ideal for a romantic getaway, honeymoon, or just a long over-due break from the hustle-bustle of everyday life.

What an incredible place! The hotel itself is gorgeous. The location is perfect, within walking distance of everything and central enough so that we never lost our bearings while wandering through the beautiful city.
Our room was very charming and romantic. It was a bit smaller than we envisioned, but enough room to not feel cramped. Our housekeeper kept it very clean and well-stocked throughout our 4-day stay.
The continental breakfast served in the beautiful atrium was anything but ordinary. It was a lavish daily spread that had enough items to allow us to eat something different every day. The nightly wine and cheese reception in the lounge area was cozy and intimate.
All of the staff bent over backwards to accommodate any and every request we had, from making reservations for tours and dinners, daily newspapers, to resetting the wireless network for our laptop. We truly felt spoiled.
We will definitely make a return trip to Savannah and to The Marshall House.

The Marshall House was the first hotel opened in Savannah, and while it has been renovated, it retains a historic feel. We stayed in a suite during our stay and it was definitely worth it. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. We felt completely at home yet pampered at the same time. The hotel is in an excellent location; it is in the heart of downtown Savannah and within walking distance to everything. This was our third trip to Savannah, but our first stay at the Marshall House. We plan to stay at the Marshall House again and would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to downtown Savannah.
