The Capitol Plaza provides a pleasant respite with its wonderful decor, staff, service, and coffee. The newly remodeled lobby, atrium, meeting rooms, and bar areas are stunning and were well worth the wait. The new color scheme is especially vibrant and uplifting, the perfect accompaniment to the best cup of hotel coffee served anywhere in the mainland U.S.

The friendly attentive service provided by everyone from the front desk to the meeting wait staff is quite similar to that I've experienced at upscale resorts in Hawaii and the Caribbean.

Finally, a convenient location with easy access to highways and nearby state government buildings makes it a great value.

The color scheme was very welcoming and "homey". I did not eat in the restaurant, but the catered meal was very tasty. The bar area is open but seemed excessively noisy with only a few in the bar. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was CLEAN as well as the bath. I would definately go back!

At my time at Capitol Plaza Hotel, I had various likes and dislikes of the hotel. First I would like to state that Capitol Plaza Hotel had several of friendly staff and there was a number of clean belongings. There were also things that I most of all hated! The sheets on the bed had awful looking stains, as well as the MATTRESS! Their service was horrible, they needed to take intrest in people the were in waiting!Out of all my likes and dislikes, I managed to stay and find the better of what I had to work with.

Do not , I repeat do not eat at the restaurant. Poor service and the food is plain awful. Breakfast buffet is $ 9.25 and is not as good as the free Holiday Inn Express buffet.
Requested more towels 3 times and never received them. This place is understaffed and poorly ran.

they "walked" me to the quality inn at 1am when i arrived. i had a guaranteed reservation, and they felt the quality inn was a comparable replacement for their oversold condition.

Hotel is currently being remodeled so there is a mess in the lobby and restaurant. This made check-in difficult since the front desk was moved to a banquet room. It should be nice when completed.

The staff and room were both nice. I noticed the room was quiet even with the construction taking place. The room had a nice desk to work with high speed internet access.

The breakfast buffet was average and the service was slow.

Drastic improvement in the restaurant and Hotel! Great new colors and modern decor. The renovation changed the entire look and feel. Service was great throughout my stay, from check-in to check-out. Front desk staff were warm and inviting. Restaurant staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast was quick and delicious. Did not dine for lunch, but Dinner was fantastic. Highly recommend this great full service hotel.
