I took the description of this hotel with a grain of salt, not expecting too much for the price I paid, but was so pleasantly surprised to find that the Carbrillo Garden Inn was not misrepresented. Small details made this hotel comfortable and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. When I asked the gentleman at the front desk to recommend a good pizza take-out he offered to call and order pizza for me because he received a discount from a local restaurant that he wanted to pass on. Even though we were right on a busy street corner, the room seemed almost soundproof. Checking out was a breeze and the bottled water I found in the room which I expected to be charged $5 for was complimentary. Even though we weren't in the nicest part of town, I felt completely comfortable because of how well the grounds were kept. Flower boxes with beautiful cacti and succulents dotted the stairways and railings. The bathroom was small but super clean. The whole room looked as though we were the first guests to stay there. If I ever visit San Diego again, I will absolutely make reservations at the Cabrillo Garden Inn. [less]

One of the cutest places we have ever stayed. A real bijou! We were very pleased with the size of the Hotel, the wonderfully decorated, clean rooms and the fantastic breakfast. We have stayed in a lot of place all over the world, but the Best Western Cabrillo Garden Inn was one of the best yet! A big plus is the multi-language staff, one of them even speaks Swiss-German! We are responding to this review of this guest just now, since we have not been aware of this remark earlier.

First of all, we are shocked by this review, as well as deeply
offended, since the guest is straight out not telling the truth about anything. We have tried to accommodate this person the best way possible, but nothing seemd good enough.

Best Western Headquarters has inve... [more]stigated and closed this case, since clearly this person was just looking for some kind of compensation or free stay from the company and the only thing degrading and offensive, is this fairy tale story made up by this person that eventually has lead to reputation damage for our Hotel.
