The many different aviation theme suites are fascinating. The suites and rooms are large and clean. I thought the rates were reasonable - luxury suites at economy prices.

There's free pickup and dropoff at the nearby Iowa City Airport so it very convenient for private pilots. We'll stay at Alexis Park Inn whenever we're in Iowa City.

We stayed at the Alexis in the Pan Am Clipper Suite for our anniversary -- it's one of their new aviation theme suites. It rocks! A Jacuzzi hot tub in our bedroom, a full kitchen, living room, and a delivered breakfast in the morning was awesome! And the price was amazing -- actually cheaper than the Holiday Inn Express wanted for a basic room!

My wife and I recently stayed in the Pan Am Clipper room to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room has been remodeled and is very comfortable. It has a full kitchen, separate bedroom, and living room. The bath offers a double wide jacuzzi that opens to both the bathroom and bedroom. The close proximity to the airport provides easy access to those who choose to fly in and is also conveniently located to the campus and downtown areas.

Many aviation artifacts have been used to decorate the rooms and lobby and it is interesting to see all they have acquired. [less]
