Alabama Jazz Hall of FameDescriptionMany of the most famous and beloved jazz musicians of all time have come from the state of Alabama, and a surprising number of these came from Birmingham. The music and accomplishments of over 170 jazz musicians, including Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton and Erskine Hawkins, are highlighted in this museum. The exhibits of Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame include paintings, quilts, instruments, and other memorabilia. The Hall of Fame also sponsors jazz performances around the city.
