Anchorage Museum of History and ArtDescriptionThe Anchorage Museum of History and Art is the largest museum of Alaska. It presents historic and contemporary Alaskan art. The permanent Alaska Gallery displays more than one thousand objects and is the foremost presentation of Alaska history and village life. Visitors of the museum can join an informative 45-minute tour (given several times daily) or come to the theater to watch a film on Alaska. The Anchorage Museum of History and Art also gets the best touring exhibits. Each year, more than 20 travelling exhibits from around the globe are showcased at the Museum.
