The ArboretumDescriptionThe Arboretum covers 200 acres and presents 2,500 species of high elevation plants. It is one of the largest collections of high country wildflowers in America. The Arboretum focuses on plants of the high desert, coniferous forests, and alpine tundra. Several miles of walking trails lead through gardens and natural areas. Visitors walk through a butterfly garden, an herb garden, a shade garden, and a passive solar greenhouse.

Operating Hours & Seasons9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, April 1 through October 31. Closed November 1 through March 31.
Getting ThereThe Arboretum is located 3.8 miles south of Route 66 on scenic Woody Mountain Road, on the west side of Flagstaff. There is no public transportation to The Arboretum. However, taxis are available from Flagstaff.
