 The original Kalmar Nyckel was one of America's pioneering colonial ships. Kalmar Nyckel brought the first 24 Swedish settlers to the Delaware Valley in 1638. The Kalmar Nyckel Foundation has recreated the legendary ship, and visitors of Wilmington can sail along Delaware's coast or just tour the ship, when she is in the port.
