 Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. It is a unique and delicate ecosystem, made up of vast saw-grass prairies, deep mangrove swamps, subtropical jungle, and the warm waters of Florida Bay.

 Built in 1916 as a winter residence for James Deering, this Italian Renaissance-style villa still contains most of the original furnishings and paintings. Outside, lush formal gardens, accented with statuary, balustrades, and fountains, overlook Biscayne Bay.

 Miami Metrozoo is completely cageless: animals are kept at bay by cleverly designed moats. Visitors will meet lions, rare white Bengal tigers, a Komodo dragon, koala bears, a number of kangaroos, and an African meerkat. Miami Metrozoo is the perfect place to go with kids.
