Baton Rouge Zoo

Description

Baton Rouge Zoo is home to over 1,800 animals, which are set in their natural outdoor habitats. If you enjoy marine life, visit L'aquarium de Louisiane, which houses fish, reptiles, and amphibians of Louisiana. The Zoo's Asian elephants and Parrot Paradise are other popular attractions. Tram and train rides, petting zoo and playground make the zoo the perfect place to visit with children.

Entrance Fee

Adults (age 13-64): $5.50
Children (age 2-12): $2.50
Children 1 year and under: Free
Senior (65+): $4.50

Visit the Baton Rouge Zoo for free on Wednesdays from 3 to 5 p.m.

Operating Hours

Daily 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Weekends 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. (during daylight savings time)
The zoo is closed New Years, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Getting There

Baton Rouge Zoo is located just 15 minutes from downtown Baton Rouge. Take Exit 8 off Interstate 110 North and turn right onto Highway 19. Continue to the second stop light and turn right onto Thomas Road. Continue one mile and look for the Zoo entrance on the left.
