Taylor House Bed & BreakfastDescriptionThis gracious Victorian house was built was built around 1855 for George W. Taylor, an international merchant head-quartered in Boston. Italianate style predominates, but there are some Greek Revival elements. A distinctive octagonal cupola sits atop the main house, and this shape is echoed in a number of ways within the interior of the structure.
Taylor House is located in an area known as "Pondside", which contains some of Jamaica Plain's finest suburban architecture. It is adjacent to the beautiful Jamaica Pond, a natural kettle hole formed by a pre-historic glacier. Execellent Boston restaurants are only a block away.
