Animal ArkDescriptionAnimal Ark is a wildlife sanctuary located in the juniper-covered hills north of Reno. The mission of the park is "to inspire our community by providing a window into nature". Animal Ark is home to black bears, wolves, bobcats, lynx, Arctic foxes, birds of prey and lots more fascinating critters, living in their natural habitat. They can be viewed through glass viewing areas. There is also a Gift Shop and picnic areas.
Entrance FeeAdults: $6 Senior citizens: $5 Children (age 3-12): $4 Children under 3 admitted free.
Operating HoursAnimal Ark is open April through October, Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed Mondays, except those which fall on holidays.
Getting ThereFrom Reno, take US-395 North to exit #78 (Red Rock Road). Turn right and drive 11.5 miles to Deerlodge. Turn right and travel one more mile to 1265. Watch for their brown and white signs.
