Santa Fe Children's MuseumDescriptionExhibits at the Museum invite open-ended discovery by encouraging little visitors to formulate questions and think creatively, are challenging and open to people of all cultural backgrounds. They also take into account a diversity of learning styles, stimulate both sensory and cognitive curiosity. Everything here is fun and safe. The staff encourage visitors to work together to solve problems. Our collection of exhibits rotates throughout the year.
Children play everywhere. Play activities are a part of childhood and parents need to view play as an integral part of the young child's development. Children's play contributes to their social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.
In the museum's toddler area children interact with the climbing structure in various ways. Some quickly climb through the spaces while others sit in one area and examine every detail. When moving through different units youngsters can explore the various textures and qualities of the materials. Children engage in dramatic activity while playing at the water feature. The entire toddler area is designed to stimulate the senses and invite discovery.
