The North Dakota Museum of Art

Description

The North Dakota Museum of Art collects contemporary, international art beginning from the early 1970s (the foundation of the Museum). It literally collects the history of the region. It is also offering a collection of contemporary Native American art, starting also with the early 1970s. The North Dakota Museum of Art is located on the campus of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

The Museum also includes Summer Arts Day Camp. It is an art studio for children to enrich their imaginations. It’s not like other camps. At Summer Arts Day Camp, children create art with professional artists to make the ordinary bright. One practicing studio artist is brought to camp per week to share his/her skill, and to co-work with children on a project of the artist’s choice.

Saturday Art Workshops are a part of Museum. They offer exciting hands-on studios for children ages 6 through 12 and their parents. Students and their guardians will collaborate to create art in the Museum. Participants will look at and talk about artwork then create their own works inspired by what they see.
