 It's a common knowledge that the amusement park industry has had several legendary parks during its history - parks that are held in special esteem and looked upon with fond memories or special reverence. Many of them come to mind when we think about it, but the one on the top of nearly everyone's list is Coney Island Park. Coney Island is famous for being the name of the New York resort that was the center of the amusement park universe in the early part of the century. It is also the name of the famed amusement park in Cincinnati, which is regarded by many as one of the best operated amusement parks in history.

 The Symphony Hotel was built in 1871 by Peter Ehrgott, a German lithographer. He commissioned architect James W. McLaughlin, probably the most important architect, who had been born in Cincinnati during the second half of the 19th century. In 1874 Peter Ehrgott died and his oldest son, Louis Ehrgott, purchased the property from heirs. Also, for some fifty years he and his wife used the property as a boarding house for students at the College of Music. May be you have already guessed, why the Symphony Hotel so called, but you will learn more if you read further...

 Actually, the Ohio River House consists of two buildings, the Dugan Residence and the River Boat House, that offer a variety of accommodations. In the Dugan Residence you will find traditional rooms with private baths that are ideal for couples. And the Riverboat House mostly recommended for families or groups wanting close proximity and "gathering space", because its suites and apartments offer more space. Anyway, whether you choose the first or the second place to stay in, your vacation at the Ohio River House will be unforgettable!

 The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra is a very famous ensemble of some of the finest musicians all over the world. It is the fifth oldest symphony orchestra in the whole United States. The CSO is also the oldest orchestra in Ohio, which has played a leading role in the cultural life of Greater Cincinnati and the Midwest since its founding in 1895.
