Clifford House was built in 1868 (some say 1850‘s) as a square Tuscany Style which was expanded in 1890 to it‘s present Queen Anne. It is a uniquely eclectic, formal and charming home. Actually, Inn Port Guest House consists of two parts: Maui Suite and Caribbean Villa. The Maui Suite is a one-bedroom condo unit adjacent to the main house of Inn Port. The suite is decorated in the "style of the islands," it also offers a private bath and private entrance. The Caribbean Villa is situated on the second floor of the main house of Inn Port. The Symphony Hotel was built in 1871 by Peter Ehrgott, a German lithographer. He commissioned architect James W. McLaughlin, probably the most important architect, who had been born in Cincinnati during the second half of the 19th century. In 1874 Peter Ehrgott died and his oldest son, Louis Ehrgott, purchased the property from heirs. Also, for some fifty years he and his wife used the property as a boarding house for students at the College of Music.
