International Museum of Carousel ArtThe IMCA is very fortunate to have a major portion of the Perron Family Collection on permanent loan. We now have more than 110 carved animals on display as well as an operational Wurlitzer band organ, chariots, carving exhibits and many other artifacts from the golden age of carousels. Included in the museum are exhibits on European animals, the major American carvers, armored horses, and the restoration process.
But it's not all! We have also very good news for you. Now if you want to go and visit Portland, one of the most important cities of Oregon, even there you can visit the branch of our museum!
Two operating carousels, a ferris wheel, train ride and an extensive exhibit of carousel animals and memoribilia is now open at the Clackamas Town Center Mall near Portland, Oregon.
The carousels and exhibits are being installed in the area formerly occupied by the ice skating rink once made famous by Tonya Harding. For at least the next 18 months, this will be a great place for children of all ages.
Home to the world's largest and most comprehensive collection of antique carousel art, the International Museum of Carousel Art invites you to explore the rich history of this nostalgic machine.

DirectionsWe are located just off of Interstate 84 in the scenic Columbia River Gorge at Hood River, Oregon.
Traveling east from Portland/Vancouver or west from The Dalles/Boise, take Hood River exit 63. Turn south at the end of the ramp and you will be on 2nd Street.
In just a few blocks turn right on Oak Street and we are on the right side at the next corner (3rd Street) in the large red brick building. Watch for the historic 4-sided clock on our building.
