The Mosier HouseThe Mosier House was built in 1904 by Jefferson Newton Mosier, who plotted the town of Mosier just east of the Cascade Mountain Range on the Columbia River. In the late 1980's, we began a long and careful restoration of the house which had been exposed to years of neglect. Through research, salvage and a great deal of work, we believe we have matched, and hopefully surpassed, the charm and integrity of an era when time was spent on the details. Today the Mosier House Bed and Breakfast sits amidst gardens, a creek and a pond in a town of 350 residents.
As our guest, you will have the opportunity to experience these details. We invite you to relax in the parlors, the front and back porches and stroll through the gardens or the town. In the morning, an abundant breakfast, featuring local produce and baked goods, will greet you in the dining room.
The Columbia River Gorge, nearby Mt. Hood National Forest and the Mt. Adams Wilderness offer numerous natural, cultural, historical and recreational opportunities. Spring brings wildflower and bird watching; summer and fall - windsurfing, mountain biking and hiking; and winter - snowboarding and skiing on Mt. Hood. All year round, experience sites along the Historic Highway, including Multnomah Falls, Crown Point and the Mosier Tunnels. Visit the renowned Maryhill Museum, The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, or just enjoy the landscape of the Columbia River Gorge, our country's first National Scenic Area.
