Adams House Bed & BreakfastDescriptionAdams House is situated in historic and central Hyde Park. It was founded in 1911 for Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gesswein as a one-story, L-shaped cottage with wraparound porches on the east and south sides. The House was bought by Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Adams in 1922 and was improved to a two-story colonial revival house in 1931. Adams House was lately restored by historic preservation architect Gregory Free. The original pine floors, sash windows, slate flooring and twelve-foot ceilings have all been re-established. The house is now owned and managed as a bed and breakfast location by Sidney Lock.
All rooms and suites, except the John R. Lock Bungalow, are situated on the second floor and accessible by stairs only. They all feature king- or queen- sized beds, antique furniture like chests, armories etc. Private luxurious bath with a shower is a major feature, too.
During the weekday, breakfast, including homemade granola & other cereals, some home-baked muffins & breads, fresh fruit, breakfast tacos, juice & coffee, is served between 7-10 a.m. A full breakfast is available in the dining room on weekends.
