Guenther HouseDescriptionThe Guenther House appears to be the charming and cozy home of Pioneer Flour Mills' founding family. Situated at the beginning of the oldest historical district in Texas, this dignified house has been fully restored and is now open for tourist's pleasure.
Carl Hilmar Guenther, the establisher of Pioneer Flour Mills, built this elegant home in 1860. Pioneer has restored the home to greet visitors as a museum, restaurant, and a store.
Also it is worth to take a look at what the San Antonio River Mill Store has to offer. Various products include gourmet mixes, syrup, preserves, honey, gourmet coffee, and so much more.
The Guenther House is situated on a bend of the San Antonio River, at the foot of King William, one of the oldest traditional historic places in Texas.
