The park offers great fishing and camping opportunities in Spring, healthy mountain air in the Summer, snowy wonderland in Winter, unparalleled views in Fall. It can become your favourite adventure. Over ten miles of park trails can be enjoyed by newcomers as well as more experienced cross country skiers. Many trails are groomed and maintained specially for cross country skiing. Ski center offers ski lessons and equipment rental. There are over 20 miles of hiking trails. Comfortable trail guides are available which will help guests in planning a hike of the right length and duration. The Blackwater River offers great fishing. It is stocked weekly with trout from early spring through early summer. Fishing is also allowed at Pendleton Lake.
Also for guests there are three types of lodging. Blackwater Lodge is located on the canyon's south rim, providing a beautiful view. Each of the guest rooms has a private bath, phone and color television. The lodge also demonstrates the new 200 seat Harr Conference Center and indoor pool. All of this make it a quite cozy place. Also there are cabins and large camping. Amenities in them are quite good, including bath and shower.
