Wisconsin Historical MuseumDescriptionLocated on Madison's Capitol Square, the museum offers numerous exhibitions, telling about the State's rich history and culture. Visitors explore Wisconsin's distinctive heritage and history from prehistoric times to present day through artifacts, photographs, audio-visual presentations, full-scale dioramas, and interactive multimedia programs. The Anthropology collection is the highlight of the museum. It contains about 3500 objects from many North American cultural areas, primarily from the Upper Great Lakes region.
